ANNUAL EVENTS IN THE HEMET AREA

YEAR AROUND

LAWN BOWLING Meet local folks and international visitors enjoying an afternoon game of lawn bowling. Games are played on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays. Saturdays are open bowling days. QUILTERS SHOW The last weekend in January brings a delightful display of quilts and a number of quilting supply vendors to the Valley Wide Recreation Center. (909) 654-1505

RAMONA OUTDOOR PAGEANT A romance of early California. Utilizing an entire mountain-side as a stage, the poignant love story of Ramon and her Indian hero, Alessandro, has a cast of more than 350. The plays worldwide fame has attracted an audience of nearly 2 million during the seven decades that it has annually been staged. Its beauty is unparalleled. BALLOON & WINE FESTIVAL Festivities include the ascension of an assortment of 60 hot air balloons, champagne balloon flights at dawn, a fine wine exhibit, country fair, jazz entertainment and children's activities. SEPTEMBER

ROD RUN CAR SHOW On the weekend of September 27 & 28 vintage cars predating 1948 and custom cars will gather at the Gibbel Park for a fun family event. OLDLYMPICS A great sporting event for seniors that are 55 and older! Competition includes bridge, horseshoe toss, swimming, track and field events, and much more! Registrations begins in mid July. For more information, please call (909) 487-9234.

MORONGO POW WOW The inter-tribal celebration of Native American culture brings dancers of all ages, dressed in fine regalia, dancing to native drums and singing.
